Hello Arcade ES families! Our Fall Fundraiser is almost over! The sale ends Monday, October 7th, so these next few days are crucial to our sale.  Please make an extra special effort to get the word out to friends, family members, co-workers, and colleagues to let them know how they can participate and help our school reach its goal.  We’ve included all the links from our kick-off email to make it easy for you to get the word out! Orders with money are due Monday October 7th. Participating has NEVER been easier with our “Hybrid” process.  In addition to our traditional way of fundraising - taking brochures around to friends, family and co-workers, filling out order forms and collecting money - you can also help people support the sale ALL ONLINE !   All you have to do is share - share - share the information from the packet you receive in school.  Emails, text messages, social media, the ways are “virtually” endless in getting the information out to supporters and make this the BEST fundraising year ever!! This note is going home with students, but community members are also welcome to provide input: Great news! A new playground will be installed at Arcade Elementary in the summer of 2026! Although that seems far away, the planning for such a big project starts right now. We'd like to hear from you about what you would like to see in a new playground, and while not every idea can be included, we hope to help design a playground that is fun, functional, safe, and visually appealing to everyone in our school community. The playground itself will be new, and the location will also be changed. It will be moved closer to our building, and there will be barriers between the playground and parking lot to provide more safety. The parking spaces lost will be relocated back by the walking/bike path, and there will be more spaces added. We will also preserve the shady seating area. Please submit your responses by Sunday, September 15, so they can be provided to Parkitects on Monday as they create a new playground for us! We will share the initial design and gather feedback before the plans are finalized and submitted for approval from the state. Parkitects has designed playgrounds you may be familiar with over the years: Holland Elementary, Hamburg Community Playground, Springville Elementary (Fitcore), Ellicottville Elementary, Wales Primary School, and more. While we do want our playground to be unique to us, these are examples of what can be done. Thank you for your input!
