The list of members of the Pioneer Middle School National Junior Honor Society has grown by 30.
The NJHS, advised by Rebecca Day and Lori Wyman, held its annual induction ceremony at Delevan Elementary on Nov. 29.
These 8th graders have set the bar high, considering they were just starting middle school when Covid-19 created learning obstacles.
Principal Melissa Prorok gave her welcome and introductions, followed by remarks from Pioneer National Honor Society historian Theresa Kolasny.
The students, cheered by their family and friends, recited the following pledge:
"I pledge myself to uphold the high purposes of the National Junior Honor Society to which I have been selected; I will be true to the principles for which it stands; I will be loyal to my
school; and I will maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, service, leadership, character, and citizenship."
