This is the text from the robocall that went out on Friday, May 15th:
Good evening, Pioneer Middle School family. This is Principal Prorok. It seems unbelievable that we have been out of school for two months! I am so proud of your teachers and all the hard work that they are putting in to help educate you remotely. I am also so proud of so many of our students for staying academically engaged and keeping up with their assignments. On May 26th, five-week progress reports are due. You will receive an actual number grade based on the rubric we presented to you over a month ago. If you have not been keeping up on your work, or if you have slacked off a bit, now is the time to refocus and finish the year strong. I believe in every one of you, and I know you can do amazing things when you put your mind to it.
Next important message: Operation Locker Cleanout. Several people at the Middle School have worked very hard over the past week to clean out your school locker and your gym locker. You will be able to drive up to the Middle School on Wednesday, May 20th from 12:00-4:00pm or Thursday, May 21st from 9:00am-1:00pm. You will tell us your last name, and we will bring a bag to you if you had anything in your locker. Again, that is Wednesday, May 20th from 12:00-4:00pm and Thursday, May 21st from 9:00am-1:00pm. We look forward to seeing your smiling faces.
Reach out to your teachers, counselors, or principals if we can help you in any way. We can do this; we are all in this together. Stay safe, stay well, and continue to do your assignments.
We miss you!
