The Pioneer Middle School chapter of the National Junior Honor Society welcomed 22 new members to its ranks during ceremonies held Nov. 18.
Principal Richard Spinelli read the list of inductees, and the new members signed the honor roll. They were joined by members of their families as they marked their highest achievements as 8th graders.

National Junior Honor Society members are vetted for such characteristics as Character, Leadership, Scholarship and Citizenship. The advisors for NJHS are teachers Rebecca Day and Lori Wyman.
