Pioneer Middle School will hold its 5th annual S.T.E.A.M. Night on Wednesday, Oct. 23, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
The theme for this year's free family event is "Gung-Ho for H2O," with many activities centered around water.
S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math. Activities at S.T.E.A.M. Night are meant to encourage students and parents to work together, build, play and learn. The benefits of this event—the hands-on activities, child-parent time together, strategizing and thinking outside of the box—impact all involved.
According to organizer Kristi Bockhahn, "There will be various, interactive stations for students and their families to visit. One particular station will be the Buffalo Zoomobile."
Students who attend from the Middle School will have the chance to receive extra credit.
