Pioneer Middle School 6th grade students recently held a writing celebration in which they shared their work with family guests and classmates.
After three weeks of analyzing and interpreting poems, the students in Miss Amy Schaper and Mr. Frank Guzzetta’s classes wrote their own poems about topics that are meaningful to them.
Students wrote, revised, and completed a final draft for the celebration. Emphasis was placed on the use of figurative language and the power of words. Students also illustrated their poems for family and friends to enjoy. Much hard work and creativity was displayed and shared at the celebration!
