As of the start of the school day on Wednesday, March 2, masking will no longer be required in New York State schools, Governor Kathy Hochul has announced.
Masking will return to a personal choice for students, staff, parents, and visitors to Pioneer schools, according to Superintendent Ben Halsey.
"This is a huge step forward and we must be respectful of everyone’s personal decision on the matter," Mr. Halsey said. "Pioneer will no longer require masking at our facility."
