The Pioneer Board of Education has approved a general fund budget for 2025-26 that totals $69,714,066, and increases spending by 2.86 percent.
The action came during the board 's regular meeting on April 22.
District voters will decide on the budget Tuesday, May 20, during polling at the high school.
Superintendent Nicholas Silvaroli explained that the lack of a state budget for next year means that school districts must plan amid uncertainty. He added a lower than expected increase in the consumer price index (CPI) could impact any anticipated increase in Foundation Aid to districts, as well as other funding categories.
The budget calls for a property tax increase of 2.79 percent. View the budget presentation from April 22
