safe schools

Superintendent Nicholas Silvaroli is reaching out to the Pioneer community in response to social media posts from Saturday, January 25, regarding an alleged student threat and a disciplinary issue. Here’s what you should know:

• Pioneer Schools is committed to keeping our schools safe and secure. Student safety and well-being are top priorities for us. Any threat is taken seriously and immediately investigated with law enforcement to determine its credibility and the necessary actions.

• There’s a claim circulating that a student made a threat with a gun on video and is being allowed back after a ten-day suspension. This is not accurate.

• Due to laws protecting student privacy, we can’t share details about specific situations. However, please know that any threats or misconduct are addressed in cooperation with law enforcement and/or in accordance with the District’s Code of Conduct, policies, and the law. For long-term suspensions, a formal hearing is required, and we are committed to following all legal procedures to handle these matters appropriately.

Thank you for your understanding and trust as we work to ensure the safety and security of our students and staff.
