Questar Secure Browser
To access the Secure Browser practice tests, student testing devices must have the Questar Secure Browser installed and tested before the student can access the practice test. The passwords remain the same ("practice"). The new username format for this year is the following (note the addition of the letter āgā in the username):
subject + g + grade number + code for accommodation (if needed)
Example: elag03 / practice
Please see the additional Secure Browser Practice Test Logins here. The complete list, which includes logins for the practice tests with accommodations, TTS, and alternate languages, are available in Nextera Admin and on CBT Support (PDFs can be downloaded below). The usernames and passwords are not case-sensitive.
Upon logging into the Questar Secure Browser, the student will see options to select from four available practice tests for the grade level. Student answers are not collected or saved from the Secure Browser Practice tests.
The Secure Browser practice tests allow students to experience computer-based testing in the same environment they will use for operational CBT this spring. All students should be familiar with the Questar Secure Browser online tools and navigation before sitting for the operational computer-based tests this spring.

Other Online Practice Assessment Tools:
eDoctrina
Pioneer Central School District will be using eDoctrina for Grades 5-8 ELA and Math Benchmark Assessments starting January 2023.
Did you know you can create your classroom assessments on eDoctrina as well? Check the tutorials page to learn more about creating your own classroom assessments!
Jamboard
Jamboard is a Google App which can allow for students to sketch ideas and work in a whiteboard-style. Students can access the Jamboard through a shared link from their teacher. View a tutorial about using Jamboard under the CBT Tutorials section.
Nextera Questar Question Sampler
The Nextera Questar Sampler provides opportunities for student simulation of the ELA Response Box Sampler and the Math Equation Editor Sampler. Simply display a question to the students, and have students practice the response on their device. Select the Subject, the Grade, and the corresponding Test (last on the list for ELA or Math). Students would then have the capability to respond on their own device. Check their device for appropriate response as the Question Sampler does not have a submission portal.
