Please communicate any special health needs or concerns of your child to the school nurse. For instance:

  • Allergy and /or anaphylaxis to food, medication, bee sting or any other substance

  • Difficulty with vision or hearing

  • Need for medication during the school day or need for emergency rescue medication at school

  • Medications taken at home on a daily basis

  • Chronic health concerns, such as, diabetes, seizures or asthma

A Note About Body Mass Index (BMI)

As part of the required school health examination, a student's weight and height are measured. These numbers are used to figure out their body mass index (BMI). Our school is periodically selected to report a summary. No names and no information about individual students are sent. However, you may choose to have your child's information excluded from this survey report. If you do not wish to have your child's weight status included as part of this summary, please call or e-mail me.
