The inductees join the 38 current members, many of whom were on hand to escort the new members to the sign-in book. Many of the family members at the ceremony were once members of NHS as well.

Pioneer's NHS chapter is advised by Mrs. Bridget Yansick and Mrs. Stephanie Hogan. Mrs. Yansick introduced principal Mark Schultz, who welcomed the gathering.

The following current NHS members spoke on the key attributes for new members: Taylor Baker (knowledge), Tristan McAfee (service), Chris Darling (scholarship), Lauren Pleace (character), and Kaitie Wood (leadership).  Then the new members and escorts were introduced individually by Tristan McAfee.

Guest speaker was high school social studies teacher Mrs. Alanya Zuniga, who quoted passages from 2 of her favorite books—"Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible No-Good, Very Bad Day" and "Harry Potter: Chamber of Secrets".

A reception for the honorees was held after the ceremony.
