The banner that was displayed on center stage, and remained there following the 50th anniversary
Kless Boys, a car repair business in Delevan, sponsored an incredible fireworks display following the football team's win over Fredonia-Brocton-Westfield, 30-6. Well over 1000 people attended, and two groups of students (including the football team itself) watched from the football field. The video shows the finale, and in the still pics you can see the '50' that rose from behind the trees.
50th Fireworks finale
Program from Pioneer's 50th Anniversary Celebration on Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016. As you can see, we had the involvement of Pioneer FFA, the Music Department, local historians, our Board of Ed and administration, and 14 candle-lighters who helped with the finale. Check out the last page for a list of committee members and partners.
One of the first things the 50th committee did was have a logo designed. This was done by Joshua Benkelman of the Class of '06. There are actually three versions: one with a grey 50, one with a gold 50, and a 'final' version that we used sparingly toward the end. Here are all three versions.
