Arcade Elementary

  • Dear Families:

I am hoping that everyone is getting ready for spring. I know that we are all really ready to get outside to play here at school. March was a fast and fun month at Arcade Elementary. We enjoyed our STEM Night and Community Reading Day.

As spring arrives, so do spring sports. As the days get longer and the nights get busier- please do not forget to read. It is important that children read every night to build their reading skills.

Also, we will be getting outside more, so please be sure that your child has sneakers for the playground. We like to get outside. Proper shoes help minimize injuries.

    Just a couple of reminders:

    • Please do not let students walk across the parking lot unattended for arrival---there have been some close calls. It is critical that you go slowly and park carefully.
    • If you have to switch dismissal- please do this by 2:15. This helps everyone clearly communicate where the student needs to be. We need to ensure that everyone gets home the correct way.

We have some very exciting events coming up including the Family Reading Night on April 27th 5:30-7:30. This is a districtwide event held at the middle school. We hope to see you there.

As always, thank you for sharing your children with us. If you need anything…please do not hesitate to stop in or call my office at 716.492.9423.
